The parents' love

I hope my parents care about me, and sometime, they are strict to my study. Some parents do not just love their children, they love blindly and protect the children too much. Another kind of parents is very strict to their children. Those are different to my hope.

Although the children can get more love from the parents of the first kind, it's not good to the children's future. In Chinese, we call the children who are protected a lot by their parents to the flowers which in greenhouse. That's mean the children can't independent without their parents. I heard that some parents never point out what their children have done wrong. They only say that the problems are not at their children, are at another things.

The second kind's parents are too horrible I think. I have a classmate, L, her mother is strict to her. When I was still in primary school, I always see her crying for the mark of the tests. She got the high marks and she feels enough but her mother don't think so. She is afraid for her mother's scold. Now, I haven't seen she cry but she also get a big pressure. She is so poor I feel.

I have another classmate, C, her mother is like a friend of C. They always talk as friends. C is a happy girl and gets no pressure from her parents.

Dear all the parents, don't pamper your children or too worry about them. That's unnecessarily. You must give the chances to them to try, to practice themselves. If you really love them, you can help them but don't plan all the things or do all the things for them. And let them make mistakes and know the mistakes.

What you say about the behaviours of parents is true. Parents care about their children. Very often, they care so much for their children that they want the best for their children, and therefore, push them to do well at school hoping that they could have an easier life in the future. If they do not know how to strike a balance, this could put a lot of stress on the children. However, as you say, other parents love their children so much that they spoil them. Unfortunately, the world indulge their children as they do and, sooner and later, their children will run in trouble. It could be a shock to them when they finally discover that the world doesn't revolve around them.

How's your relationship with your parents? I am sure that they care about you a lot. If not, why would they care about your academic performances? I'm sure that asking after your homework is their way to express their care and love for you. Try to see beyond thier strictness towards you. When they ask about your homework, what they are actually trying to express is that they care about you. What do you think?
